Our Environmental Statement
What we hold dear is
“Mottainai” — to treat things with care, and use them well for a long time
— a feeling that is, for us, simply natural.
In an age where new certifications and new words are constantly born,
we keep this single word as our unwavering compass.
A single bolt of denim carries many hands —
those who gather the cotton, those who spin the thread,
the dyer at the indigo vat, and the keeper of the loom.
To use such cloth down to its very last piece.
To let one weave reach the next generation.
That is what “care for the environment” means to us.
What we do
- Upcycling remnant fabric, sample weaves, and archive cloth
Cloth that could not be sold as bolts is given new life through fabric-bonded molding — turned into everyday vessels, kept at hand instead of being discarded. - Making what is truly needed, carried to the next generation
We focus on universal weaves and colours that do not bend to trends, designing materials made to be used for generations. - Walking with the regions where things are made
We believe the most certain way of facing the environment is to keep moving forward together with the hand-work rooted in each region.
The ordinary, done in the ordinary way.
As if spinning a single thread, day after day.
