No. 01 — COASTER
Denim Coaster
The expression of woven cloth, condensed into a palm-sized form. Holding the weight of a glass while bringing a stroke of indigo to the table.
ALLBLUE CRAFT COLLECTION
Every piece of fabric carries the crossing of warp and weft,
the depth of indigo, and the slow story of fading.
ALLBLUE seals its denim into vessels for everyday life,
through the Japanese craft of fabric-bonded molding.
CONCEPT
The denim worn as clothing — now placed into the palm, as part of daily life.
Fabric-bonded molding (nuno-bari seikei) is a technique where a piece of denim is laid by hand onto a pre-molded resin substrate, and sealed with polyester resin to form a finished surface. The texture of the weave, the irregularity of the dye, the breath of the cloth itself — all preserved as the form turns hard.
Each cloth has its own personality. Even in the same shape, no two pieces wear the same expression. The colour deepens with use, and the form settles into the hand.
PRODUCTS
No. 01 — COASTER
The expression of woven cloth, condensed into a palm-sized form. Holding the weight of a glass while bringing a stroke of indigo to the table.
No. 02 — ACCESSORY TRAY
A resting place for rings, earrings, watches. By the entrance, a dish for keys and coins. A tray for the hands at the start and end of each day.
No. 03 — CAFE TRAY
One coffee, one small dish of sweets. Sized to carry a single café setting to the hand. For service, for tabletop display, or simply for stillness.
No. 04 — SOAP
Authentic indigo from Tokushima. Sea salt from Kojima. Lemon from Kurashiki. Three local ingredients that quietly support the work of ALLBLUE, sealed into a single bar.
PROCESS
From the ALLBLUE archive, a single piece of fabric is chosen to answer the form and intention of each vessel. Weave density and dye depth shape the final expression.
The cloth is laid by hand onto a pre-formed resin substrate and sealed with polyester resin to form the surface layer. Hand-finished by artisans in Wakayama, in a tradition rooted in Kishu-shikki lacquerware.
A urethane top coat balances strength and texture for everyday use. Resistant to water and stains; care is simply wiping clean. Each piece is checked individually before completion.
UPCYCLE
The unused ends of cloth produced through denim manufacturing. Too short to be sold as bolts, yet more than enough for a single vessel.
Short test bolts woven to trial new structures and dyes. Fabric that would otherwise sleep in the warehouse, never reaching market. Their rare expression suits one-of-a-kind craft.
Leftover bolts from past seasons, and fabrics retired from sale. A way of finishing — not discarding — the history that ALLBLUE has accumulated.
Each piece uses different cloth.
Even within the same product, colour and weave will differ —
a quiet pleasure of working with reused fabric.
OUR STORY
ALLBLUE is a denim textile converter in Kojima, Okayama — Japan's centre of denim manufacturing. Beyond denim as a material for clothing, we have always wanted to share the richness of the cloth itself.
A few metres left on a bolt. A short trial weave. A retired archive fabric. Cloth that was meant to be discarded — meeting the fabric-bonding tradition of Wakayama, and being given a new form that the hand can hold.
The work in every thread, in every weave, offered in a different shape, kept close for longer. This small collection began from that wish.
